The Sound of Bells in Morgan Hill

If you’re downtown during the day, you may hear bells ringing from our tower at Morgan Hill UMC.

  • The visible bell, installed in 1895, still tolls at the start of worship and for special events like weddings and parades.
  • The tunes you hear come from our digital carillon, installed in 2022 by Lakewood Audio-Video, replacing an older tape-based system.

How It Works

  • The carillon uses digitally recorded bell sounds played through speakers in the tower.
  • Over 200 songs are in rotation, with special selections for holidays and events.
